GENYでは、2年半の間、ESLとビジネス英語のクラスを受講しました。

最初のころは、先生が何を言っているかまったくわからない、何もしゃべれないという状況からの始まりでしたが、1年を過ぎるころから自然に英語が口から飛び出すこともあり、それにつれて語彙力も増え、英会話に不便さを感じなくなりました。カタカナ

発音が抜けない僕に何度も繰り返し、正しいアクセントを教えてくれた先生方のお陰だと思います。
最後のビジネス英語のクラスでは、レジュメ指導もしていただき、海外に支店を持つ日本の企業に就職が決まりました。GENYで学んだ英語を今度は仕事で生かし、

是非ニューヨークに赴任したいと思います。

Last year, when I was traveling through the U.S.

I felt that the language is important.

I tried out the ESL classes at GENY for one week

and decided to come back.

I went back to Japan to get an F1 visa, and now

i'm back in NY. I was nervous about being a

student again, but I have had very good

experiences talking with my classmates who come

from various different backgrounds.

I had a wonderful summer this year in the U.S

I enrolled in the 15 months nursing program.

I had a hard time finishing the CGFNS application process,

but my advisor helped me to solve problems each time.

I spent at least 8 hours everyday preparing to take the NCLEX exam.

I failed once, but I passed it the second time.

Other nursing course students encouraged me a lot, because we were

confronting the same thing.

Now I work at Bellevue Hospital and I really enjoy the new environment.

GENYでいつも楽しみにしていたことは、アクティビティーでした。入学してすぐにハロウィーン・パーティーがあり、先生やクラスメートと相談してコスチュームを決めました。ファッション・デザインコースを専攻している私は、英語はまだ得意ではありませんでしたが、このパーティーですっかり打ち解けることができました。その後も、スケートやクリスマスパーティーなどのイベントに参加し、他のクラスの人とも友達になりました。

これは私の意見ですが、先生から教えてもらう英語はもちろん大切ですが、友達と何気なく話す会話の中から多くのことを学んだように思います。

これから留学される方は、シャイにならず、自分からどんどん話しかけて友達を作っていくと、ニューヨーク以外では絶対に体験できない、有意義な時間が過ごせると思います。
